The award recognises one individual hearing care professional who has gone that extra mile to provide outstanding service and is open to anyone working in Audiology in private practice and the NHS. Organised by battery manufacturer Rayovac and industry publication Audio Infos, members of the public are asked to write in and nominate a hearing healthcare professional for consideration by a panel of expert judges. On learning the news, Robert said: "I am honored to have been personally selected and thrilled to receive the trophy but I am delighted to hold this title for the next year so that it remains with an AIHHP member for another 12 months." "My individual goal is to excel with every patient, to appreciate and understand their needs and to deliver a service which truly changes lives. But it's is far from an individual effort. Every member of our team echoes this philosophy and the award is as much for them as it is for me." Last year five AIHHP members were singled out for special commendation during the competition and this year is no exception with a further three commendations in addition to Robert. It is a fitting testament to AIHHP that one of our own has been crowned for the second year in a row as UK Audiologist of the Year and we wish Robert warmest congratulations. Robert's nomination will now be considered against the individual winners from Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Sweden with one being selected as overall European Audiologist of the Year and we wish Robert the very best of luck. You can ask for no greater confirmation that you are seeing the best when you seek out the help of one of our Executive Full Members. If you, a family member, friend or work colleague need advice about your hearing, contact you nearest AIHHP member today. |
